Birthday.com exists because most gift recommendation sites are driven by affiliate commission rates, not genuine testing. Products get recommended because they pay high commissions or because a press release arrived in an inbox — not because someone actually gave the gift and watched the reaction.

We are funded by affiliate commissions — when you click a link and buy a product, we earn a percentage of the sale. This means our incentive is to recommend gifts people will actually love, not gifts that generate traffic.
